MGI FORUM GATHERING IN LONDON

My highlight of the month was to gather all MGI Forum members together in-person to discuss the issues-du-jour. The mobile games sector is facing an ever-growing number of regulatory pressures and keeping track of, and trying to get ahead of, them is essential. 

Just a few of the issues we’re currently tracking are:

• Australia’s Digital Games Tax Offset, the Online Gambling Harms Inquiry, Classification Guidance Reform, Ministerial responses to public concerns, consumer protection beyond classification.

• UK’s technical working group on loot boxes, the online safety bill, ICO likely to be accessed, CMA mobile market study

• EC’s Fairness Consultation, Digital Markets Act implementation
